Well, here are the details for this little jaunt to take in the view across the border on SUNDAY 30th JUNE 2019.

This ride is suitable for full & associate members and will NOT be "Legally Brisk"

Meeting at the Sainsbury's car park on Shap Road for an 8:30am briefing and ready to depart at 8:45am.
We will be heading up the A6 to Penrith then over to Caldbeck for breakfast. We will then continue to Burgh on Sands and then follow the coast round to Cardonock and down to Silloth for lunch. We should get some good views across the Solway Firth to Scotland (weather permitting) and hope the tide isn't too high....
After lunch we will follow the coast to Maryport and on to Stanton Bridge for more light refreshments. The final stint will then be across the fells and down to finish at the Lakeland Motor Museum. A trip of approximately 160 miles.

Please let me know if you will be coming so I can forewarn the cafes we will be visiting along the way. Petrol stop will be at Silloth (approx 100 miles from the start) so please ensure you are fully fueled at Sainsbury's before we leave.

Hopefully we will get good weather so see you all there....

I think the B5300 is still closed at Dubmill Point, so there may need to be a detour between Silloth and Maryport.
